What is Astrology?

The most common application of Astrology is called the Natal Chart or the Birth Chart. This is a chart calculating the planetary positions for the exact date, time and place of your birth. This creates a unique map for your lifetime, offering information about your personality traits, physical appearance and health, and even information about your relationships with your parents, siblings and friends!

After the "snapshot" of the planets is taken at the moment of your birth, the planets continue to move. As they move through the heavens they make aspects to your chart, referred to as Transits, signifying changes and events in your life.

There is also a powerful method of moving your natal chart called Secondary Progressions. This moves your chart one day for one year. It is used to understand the psychological changes that you are likely to experience, (which in turn lead to outer events in your life).

Astrologers are trained to interpret your Natal Chart, Secondary Progressions and Transits. In addition to these methods, there are many other forms of chart interpretation, for example there are Solar Arc Directions, Fixed Stars and Asteroids. Many Astrologers have an area of specialty such as Electional Astrology (choosing the best date for an event such as a wedding), Medical Astrology, Vedic Astrology, or Uranian Astrology.

Astrology can give you insights and understanding about your personality, your desires, and changes that are occurring in your life. We all experience difficult periods and times when we need guidance and understanding. Astrology can offer this and help you go through your life with a greater awareness of what is happening, why it is happening and when the experience will be completed.
